Looking for an all new Mercedes model.. we have just the thing

Mercedes have been very busy out and about testing their new GLS model which will replace the older GLE model. The new model will indeed come in the manner of a new suv addition to the German firms range and the vehicle has once again been spotted testing over in the United States with images revealed online which show the styling direction in which the company will be taking their upcoming range. To have it replace the GLE, Mercedes have clearly brought changes into play as far as the exterior finish is concerned and the interior design. The pictures posted online have shown updates made to both the front and back bumper aswell as the headlight and tail light designs. The front of the car is looking much wider and it certainly looks more aggressive than the GLS it replaces.

What have Mercedes fitted inside of the GLE?

Moving on now to the interior design setup. Mercedes are yet to give exact information on what we can expect to see but judging from the latest reports in the automotive world, we can expect to see new materials make up for the majority of the interior cabin with new trim designs also expected to surround the likes of the door sills and dashboard. A new steering wheel design is expected to be revealed closer to the time of launch also and technology will also have a key role to play as Mercedes add a brand new infotainment system into the mix. Which would consist of an all new, seven inch screen setup.

Technology these days plays a pivotal role in the success of a vehicle and can determine just how popular the car is aswell as the engines, power, driving experience and a host of other things too. With these new technology fittings and some good decent power, the GLE could very well do a good job on maintaining to be a rival for the likes of the Cayenne from Porsche and some big additions to the BMW X range. Carrying on exactly where the GLS finishes.

Have Mercedes added changes to the engine line-up?

Both V6 and V8 sized engines which are currently found in the GLS are to come along with the new GLE and the main engine unit in that line up is expected to be the engine giving out 577 brake horse power which is also shared with the GL63 AMG S. There is some talk though that Mercedes Benz could also introduce a new plug in hybrid option for the range but this is clear speculation for the moment and has not been revealed by the brand in charge.
