Latest reports suggest that Renault will launch their brand new addition to their Laguna range from around the beginning of next year.
Renault Laguna is a family car, which was initially launched in early 1994. The new addition will be built on the same platform as Nissan Teana, which is one of the reasons why Renault was able to launch it so soon.

Renault's design team is very impressed with the bold look of Nissan's Teana, so they are planning on borrowing some of its styling techniques for Renault Laguna. But, the new Renault Laguna will be slightly larger than Teana, and that will give it an edge over its younger sibling.
Today, we have more on the brand new Laguna model as we learn about the new design structure that the firm has taken with the new model and some new changes happening inside the car. New images have been uploaded online, revealing just what the new cabin will look like, and it seems to be the most luxurious and executive finish that the Laguna has ever seen before.
From the pictures of the car that we have seen, it is clear that the firm has taken some styling directions and technology direction from other firms on the market. There is no better example than the interior cabin taking a page out of Tesla's book.
What can you expect to find inside of the new Laguna?
The uploaded images reveal that Renault has now fitted a new colour tablet screen into the centre console, with hints of Tesla across the design. If you have been inside or seen inside a Model S before, then you know what we mean.
The steering wheel looks very sharp with a black leather interior with chrome finishing around the air vents and gearsticks. We expect that using a multi-functioning steering wheel would also come into play, but this remains unconfirmed as this was an area under some disguise.
However, it is still very early for the new addition to the company's saloon range, and no confirmation of it being sold on the UK market has been given yet.
What competition will Laguna face?
The Laguna has been one of the most attractive saloon vehicles on the market for many years, and it has seen off some fierce competition from the likes of the Mondeo from Ford and the Vauxhall Astra. The new Astra model is expected to be their biggest and best yet, and with the new Astra going on sale this year, this rivalry could very well continue to grow.
The new Laguna is expected to be revealed to the world officially near the end of this year, with an on-sale date expected to be announced next year. With the new Nissan Teana on sale in Japan, it is clear that this will be a big target for Renault.
